Stonehaven Steadings, a boutique, full service thoroughbred breeding and sales operation, offering select investment opportunites to outside investors, is located in the heart of the Bluegrass in Central Kentucky. We have a long tradition of raising and selling outstanding racehorses.

Located at the intersection of Old Frankfort Pike and Paynes Depot Road, Stonehaven Steadings is home to some of the finest land for raising sound, competitive racehorses. Our neighbors, Darby Dan, WinStar, and Three Chimneys give testament to the claim that this special corner of Woodford County is an exceptional place to raise a quality racehorse.

As the fourth owners of a land originally handed over in the 1700’s from King George of England, Chiquita and Jeff Reddoch are committed to building upon the farm’s storied past while being mindful to keep up with the changing times. All the while, our goal is to raise the best athlete with the potential to compete at the highest levels of the sport. Raising and caring for select thoroughbreds requires an excellent facility fit for purpose, and personnel with passion, desire, and experience.

With over 35 years of experience, the current management has been raising thoroughbreds since the 1970’s. While maintaining breeding to sell as the primary focus, Stonehaven Steadings has taken several horses to the race track.

Part of the former Saxony acreage, many great thoroughbreds have been raised on this farm including Champions Fly So Free, Zizal, Arazi, Ajdal, and most recently, Shanghai Bobby, along with nearly 25% Stakes Winners to runners foaled, just to name a few. In 2012, Stonehaven was named KTOBA 2YO Champion Breeder of the Year.
